As I write this, I’m on a train to Galway City, about to film a Facebook ad using Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ dance trend.

Why? Because we’re launching a new church plant, and we’re willing to step outside the box to reach people who have never encountered Jesus.

And here’s the thing—it’s biblical.

Paul’s Radical Approach to Reaching People

In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul lays out a powerful principle: do all you can, short of sin, to reach people for Jesus.

For him, that meant giving up his right to a wage for preaching the gospel so that nothing—no financial barrier, no expectation—would stand in the way of someone hearing about Christ.

What Does This Look Like Today?

For me, today, it looks like dancing in the middle of Galway City.

Because while some might never walk into a church, they are scrolling on their phones—watching, engaging, questioning. My hope is that when they see a bunch of church folk dancing in the heart of Galway, it sparks curiosity. Maybe they click. Maybe they explore. Maybe they encounter Jesus in a way they never expected.

But what about you? How can you live out this principle in your own life?

Making 1 Corinthians 9 Real in Everyday Life

Here are a few ways this mindset might play out in different situations:

  • For a business owner → It could mean offering free services or discounts to those in need as a tangible expression of Christ’s love.
  • For a student → Sitting with the lonely kid at lunch, choosing kindness in conversations, even when it’s unpopular.
  • For a content creator → Using your platform to share stories of faith in a way that connects with people who’d never watch a sermon.
  • For a neighbor → Opening your home for meals, being present, and listening when people need support.
  • For a parent → Modeling patience, grace, and love, showing Jesus through your daily interactions with your kids.

Paul’s challenge wasn’t just for preachers—it was for everyone.

What Might This Look Like for You?

This blog is all about making faith practical, real, and transformational. I’ll be sharing real-life examples of how you can apply biblical principles in ways you may never have considered.

So if you’ve ever wondered, “What does the Bible have to do with my life?”—you’re in the right place.

Now, let me ask you: What’s one bold step you can take to reach someone for Jesus today?
